Let the Changes Begin!
Well, we officially moved in this past Friday and immediately started the process of redoing the house. This is of course after my “What the hell did we just do?!?!?” Friday evening panic attack. L had to reassure me that the blinding colors would be gone in the morning.
Upon starting the updating process we decided to save the master redo until we finished the main part of the house first. I’m sorry to say but we cannot find our camera via the mountain of boxes in various rooms and therefore are not able to document the changes we are making. So, I will begin with an itemized list of the things we’re changing and you can just use your imagination!
- Primer both guest rooms, living, breakfast, laundry and kitchen (including ceilings, doors and all cabinets)
- Knock out hallway wall dividing dinning room
- Knock out 45 degree angles dividing kitchen and living room (possibly add reinforced structure to breakfast/living room span)
- Rewire electrical on both walls
- Sheet rock, float, tape and sand all new walls
- Texture kitchen walls
- Remove all cabinet doors and drawers
- Primer kitchen cabinets doors and drawers
- Repaint ever wall (cabinets, doors and drawers) with primer in the house
- Add additional chair railing to breakfast room
- Remove all baseboards
- Remove laminate flooring
- Run gas down kitchen wall for new stove
- Install new front door
- cut and trim bushes outside
